  1. Subject: Expanded RX and TX range for the ADI AT-400

  5. NOTE!  The first step is the microprocessor master reset 
  6. and will erase ALL memories.
  7.  
  8. 1)  While pressing the Function button (F), turn the radio 
  9. on.  Display will show all figures.  Release the (F) 
  10. button and it will read 440.00.  (some models display 
  11. 433.00) 
  12.  
  13. 2)  Turn power off.
  14.  
  15. 3)  Press 3 while turning power back on.  Display will 
  16. read 440.00 again.
  17.  
  18. 4)  Press F and 3.  Display will read 10.  Change ôSTEPö 
  19. to 05 by turning dial one click.
  20.  
  21. 5)  Press F and 9.  Display reads 05.00.  We are now going 
  22. to change it to 30.63[50].  
  23.  
  24. 6)  While pressing the F button, rotate the dial knob 
  25. about 25 clicks clockwise until the display reads 30.00.  
  26. Release the F button.  Rotate the dial clockwise about 127 
  27. clicks until the display reads 30.63[50].  
  28.  
  29. 7)  Press F and 3 and change ôSTEPö back to 10.

  31. 8) Press F and 0.  Display reads 440.00.
  32.  
  33. 9)  Press 7.  Display reads   .   (period)
  34.  
  35. 10)  Press the numbers 3 0 6 3.
  36.  
  37. 11)  Press *.  Display reads 430.00.

  39. 12)  Press F and 9.  Display reads 30.63[50].  Hold the F 
  40. button and turn the dial counterclockwise about 25 clicks 
  41. until display reads 05.63[50].

  43. 13)  Release F button.  Turn dial CCW until it reads 
  44. 05.00.
  45.  
  46. 14)  Press *.  Display reads 430.00.
  47.  
  48. 15)  Turn the radio off and then back on again.  This 
  49. restores the keyboard direct frequency entry feature.      
  50. The modification is now complete.  The radio will now 
  51. receive and transmit from 430.00 to 463.995.  Hint: Use 
  52. the F and Mhz buttons to make large frequency changes.

  57. Now that the initial codes have been entered, the 
  58. frequency span can be easily changed.
  59.  
  60. Example:
  61. Program the US Amateur band only (420.00 to 449.995 mHz)

  63. 1) Press F and 0

  65. 2) Press 7.  Display reads   .    (period)
  66.  
  67. 3) Press 2 0 4 9

  71. The transmit and receive frequency range is now set from 
  72. 420 to 449.995 mHz.
